Accident Prone

Samuel had yet another accident last Sunday. Usually his antics result in minor bumps and bruises (daily). Sunday though, he tripped and hit his face on one of his tos. Luckily he didn't put his tooth through his lip, but he cut it pretty good. So, we got to spend Sunday evening at the local ER. 2 Hours of waiting with a whiny almost 3 year old to find out that the doctor didn't think it was worth putting stitches in. Which is probably was a good thing since Sam didn't even want to put ice on his lip.
It is starting to heal which is good and it looks much better than it did on Sunday - it was pretty ugly and deep.

Our little Pudge

Our little pudgy girl! Maria is growing by leaps and bounds! She is eating baby food now and chowin' down on it. She is finishing 1/2 to a whole small jar a day. She seems to like sweet potatoes the most. (A lot like her big brother.) She is still sleeping through the night. Usually from about 10:30 at night until 8 or 9 in the morning! It is wonderful. If only we could get Sam to sleep in like that.
Maria is trying very hard to sit up on her own. She loves to see everything that is going on around her. In fact she is not nursing any more because she refused to take time out from her "people watching" to eat. She would rather take a bottle so that she could watch everyone. She is very nosey. :-) She likes to play on the floor and kick around. She likes to get about 1/2 way to trying to roll over.
Maria loves to watch Sam run around the house. She thinks he is very funny when he is being goofey. He likes to "bonk" heads with her - we have to remind him that he has a very hard head and that Maria's head is much softer.

Invisible friend(?)

I understand that many children have invisible friends at some point in their childhood. Sam is putting a new twist on the idea though. Sam has invisible MONSTERS. Usually they are friendly and he wants them to come with us wherever we are going. In fact we had a monster come to church with us tonight to do the Stations of the Cross. He as wonderfully involved conversations with the monsters. They often end up in time out because they are being bad.
